By the end of the Ligature Rescue Training course each participant will:
- Be able to identify potential ligatures and suspension points
- Feel confident dealing with a ligature incident
- Know how to recognise and respond to a ligature incident
- Know how to safely remove a suspended and unsuspended ligature using a ligature cutter tool
- Recognise and treat resulting injuries using first aid
- Know how to preserve a scene for forensic examination
- Be aware of your companies policies and procedures relating to ligature rescue
