First Aid Training
First Aid is one of those things we learn in life hoping we never have to use it!
Here at CPS Activities we understand that the thought of delivering First Aid to a casualty could be a daunting thing and that you never know how you will react until you are in the situation. This is why our First Aid training is delivered in a fun, relaxed format, giving you the chance to learn in a safe environment. You will leave our course with the confidence to be able to support a casualty in their time of need!
First Aid Training We Offer:
- Outdoor/Activity/Sport First Aid (2 days)
- Emergency First Aid At Work (1 day)
- Emergency Paediatric First Aid (1 day)
We can also provide 3 Day First Aid at Work, First Aid Awareness and other bespoke First Aid courses (designed around your needs)
All our courses are delivered in line with the Health and Safety (First Aid) Regulations 1981

Outdoor First Aid Training for National Governing Body Awards
Who is this first aid training for?
Anyone who requires first aid training to achieve or maintain their awards or qualifications within the following governing bodies:
Your training will be delivered by Sean, a qualified Mountain Leader, Rock Climbing Instructor and Paddlesports Instructor. With over 10 years experience in delivering First Aid Training, Sean is able to put this together with his own experience of working with National Governing Bodies, to provide First Aid training relevant to your needs.
What does this first aid training cover?
The course is 16hrs over 2 days and covers all the elements required by your National Governing Body. These include:
- Discussion of injuries related to your sport/activity
- Role and responsibilities of a First Aider
- Getting help (local and remote locations)
- Recording and reporting accidents/incidents
- Creating a first aid kit
- Scene survey
- Conscious and Unconscious casualties
- Choking (including drowning)
- Clinical Shock
- And so much more
You must be physically able to take part fully in the course. We will always try and make any reasonable adjustments where possible.

Emergency First Aid at Work
Who is this first aid training for?
Anyone who works in a setting where a 1 day EFAW course has been deemed as sufficient. This can include but is not limited to:
- Care/Support Workers
- Nursing Staff
- Care/Team Leaders/Managers
- Facilities Staff
- Kitchen Staff
- Domestic Staff
- Office Staff
Your Emergency First Aid at Work training will be delivered by Sean. Sean has over 10 years experience of delivering Emergency First Aid at Work training to a variety of industries.
What does this First Aid Training cover?
This Emergency First Aid at Work is for designated or to be designated First Aiders in a low risk environment. It is a 1 day course and covers;
- Discussion of injuries related to a the relevant industry
- Roles and Responsibilities of a First Aider in the workplace
- How to get help
- Scene survey, Prime Survey and Secondary Survey
- Recording & Reporting
- Creating a first aid kit
- Conscious and Unconscious casualties
- Causes of Unconsciousness
- Choking
- Clinical Shock
- And so much more
You must be physically able to take part in the course. We will always try and make any reasonable adjustments where possible.
This course is run at your site for between 6-12 delegates.
Emergency Paediatric First Aid
Who is this First Aid training for?
The Emergency Paediatric First Aid course is suitable for anyone working with children or babies where a 1 day course has been deemed as sufficient.
The course will cover:
- Discussion of injuries related to a the relevant industry
- Roles and Responsibilities of a First Aider in the workplace
- How to get help
- Scene survey, Prime Survey and Secondary Survey
- Recording & Reporting
- Creating a first aid kit
- Conscious and Unconscious casualties
- Causes of Unconsciousness
- Choking
- Clinical Shock
- And so much more
There will be a specific focus on providing First Aid for children and babies but will also cover the variances when supporting an adult casualty.
You must be physically able to take part fully in the course. We will always try and make any reasonable adjustments where possible.
This course is run at your site for between 6-12 delegates.
